What are the most amazing and interesting facts you know? by Ashok Reddy
Answer by Ashok Reddy:
A village called Viganella receives no sunlight for 84 days in winter.
This is a village of 127 people in Italy. As you can see, this village is located in a valley between the Alps. These peaks are about a mile high and completely block sunlight.
And this place suffered this for 800 years.
Now, why didn’t they relocate?
I have no idea.
If they’ve lived there for 800 years, then obviously they must have gone through every possible solution, right?
Turns out they didn’t. A solution was found. In 2006.
So, how did they solve this complex problem?
Simple. Just install a huge mirror. A giant 26 foot mirror.
The mirror is controlled remotely by a computer which tracks the sun’s movement and positions itself accordingly to provide a constant stream of sunlight.
The entire project cost just $100,000.
Much cheaper than relocating the entire village….
Edit:- Thank youfor the information
